Strongly influenced by Jack Johnson, (Martin) LEYNE began as a devoted folk musician. At first, Martin recorded extensively on his own in his student bedroom. In February 2017, he came to The Queen Is Dead Records to record his first EP. Joined by Kevin Maribas on guitar, with Amandine Alexandre on cello, Martin was encouraged by The Queen Is Dead Records to think bigger and be more ambitious, allowing his songs to develop and reach the scale he had imagined.

Listening to Martin, you can hear echoes of Tom McRae, the lyrical delicacy and quiet strength of Ben Harper, and a taste for the epic reminiscent of Eddie Vedder or Alexi Murdoch.

"What If?", his first EP, was released on October 19, 2017. It is the travel diary of an improvised and optimistic journey.

In April 2018, Martin discovered the ROLI Seaboard Rise and began improvising with it over the course of an afternoon. One sleepless night later, he had recorded an entire album, completed by Laurent through additional arrangements and production. The album, "Spectral Vision", was released in February 2019.

In September 2019, he released the single "Reflection of Myself", accompanied by an experimental music video.

Since 2020, Martin has gradually moved towards instrumental music, successively exploring different fields: orchestral covers, podcast themes, music for short films, and later composition for video games.
