Blue Chill

After dedicating his entire childhood and teenage years to playing the piano, Laurent Auffret (aka Enzo Clark) took up the guitar and founded Blue Chill in 2004. Over time, through musical encounters and friendships, the group evolved into a close-knit collective, with Laurent taking on the role of a patriarchal bandleader, successfully uniting musicians from diverse backgrounds. Together, they performed both electric alternative rock/shoegaze concerts and more intimate neofolk acoustic shows.

Since 2005, through five albums and more recently three EPs, Blue Chill has pursued an ambitious sonic journey — weaving haunting yet dissonant harmonies, compositions that are by turns complex and stripped-back, epic and intimate, tormented yet soothing. Blue Chill seeks the perfect alchemy between soaring lyricism, sonic explosions, neofolk textures, and a hint of pop — following in the footsteps of their spiritual influences: Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, and The Beatles.

Blue Chill is the story of a group of musicians meeting, taking one step, two steps, or embarking on a long journey together. Everyone explores their own boundaries, driven by the collective energy, in a dynamic both friendly and ambitious, orchestrated by Laurent — a self-proclaimed "benevolent dictator." The door is always open.

A remastered edition of "Fake Memories", the band’s fourth album, was released to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
